I ran setup from my win2000 cd in order to proform a repair of my os. Upon concluding this task and rebooting I saw that a win2000 setup line has been added to my os boot options. I remove this line and I was not able to boot into xp. I was able to boot into 2000 but not xp which is the second os on my system on the second partition. Why should the removal of that cd setup line from the boot.ini file affect me booting into xp?
