compaq ex - user's pc had been running for about 3 hours and then:
STOP: 0x0000007b (0xf901b84c, 0x0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newloy installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Did what the instructions recommended. Tried two different HDs. NO JOY!!! HELP!!!
Thanks. Have a great day. God bless. Regards, Lupe

Did those hard drives work in the other pc's? If so bad cable/bad motherboard/or possibly bad memory chips.

opatzq,
Thanks. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I got the problem fixed and was so glad I became rude.
At any rate:
I simply rebuilt the HD and that fixed it.
It didn't make sense to me because the HD worked on two other computers. (???) Again, thanks for your response. Regards, Lupe
