BUM HARD DRIVE

THE OS ON MY ACER HAS MISSING OR CORUPTED FILES,i REALLY NEED TO GET TO MY FILES ON THIS MACHINE (NOT SAVED OF COURSE) How can I access this hard drive without reformating? The manufacturers disk wont help. It just wants to reformat.
