There are so many new languages that will outdo C++ (for instance Python) , which is similar but a lot tidier than C++. A Python programmer generally makes twice as much as a C++ programmer because he can write the code in half as many lines (usually less than half) and bill at standard C++ rates. If you're interested in writing security, public key infrastructures etc. Python is a ot easier, faster and much more secure code than C++. I'd recommedn taking a basic C tutorial, even a free on online (if you haven't already done so)and then getting into python. there are a LOT of Python resources, such as python.org, and Guido Von Russom's (forgive me if I got his name wrong)tutorial is the best yet. There are a lot of helpful programmersthat will give you modules that can be shared and called upon from within you basic scripts. Definitely the way to go for the new millenium, faster, easier, and not heavily exploited the way C++ is.
