When I connect to the internet, I keep call waiting enabled, because unlike too many socially challenged people, I feel that a live human conversation is more important that 99% of the internet surfing that is done.
Unfortunately, my call waitingrarely disconnects, and when it does, the caller has to let it ring a ridiculous amount of times (more than 15 rings) befor it does. Someone suggested that my dial up settings are set to be not sensitive enough. If this is true, how do I change it, and if it isn’t, is there a way to change it? I went to the properties of my ISP connection and there is an ADVANCED PORT SETTINGS where I can set a buffer for both transmitting and receiving. IS this the way to corrent this problem, and if not, how can I?
