    Hi
    I want to register on a game, but the developer wouldnt let me. Its a stupid game, cyclingsimulator. I can register from any other device even in my house, just from my phone he blocked me somehow. That is strange, I am using a VPN so he doesnt recognise me, but its still not working, somehow they know it is me. Maybe he tracks my phone after the phones IP adress? Can the IP adress of the phone be changed so he or the system doesnt recognise this device? Thank you

      https://www.google.com/search?q=Can+I+be+tracked+with+VPN+site:security.stackexchange.com says yes you can be tracked.

      Remember that those the represent and sell VPNs may not be totally honest.

      I want you to remain honest with us here. No one here will help others try to defeat or get around blocks like you mention. What I find is that usually the person who is asking knows why they were blocked but rarely tells us.

      To get into the game, make peace with the developer.

        In reply to Your question is:

        There is another situation here. The developer is an idiot. He banned me and my friend because we shared some potentials of cyclists on messenger. He is stupid. Yes, he banned me, but the reason is stupid and the reason the same. But I dont feel like I need to go to explain every detail in here. If you dont want to help, so be it. If I knew I did something wrong, I wouldnt ask. I cant make any peace with him, he is not understanding. Once I donated and asked for some free scouts(some prize for donating in the game) but he said I asked for too many and he bans me fron donating cause I am wasting his time. Then I told him he isnt worth my money and banned me for 1 year just for this…

        At least I would like to know if he tracks my device or something. I am completely honest. You dont know him, but he is an arse.

          I supplied prior answers to the can you be tracked when you use a VPN so that’s answered.

          As to what you wrote about the developer it appears you won’t be making peace and may have sealed your fate for years as you dug a deeper hole here. I shouldn’t have to tell you that they can google for discussions about their product and may find this discussion.

          Given that it’s very likely your interaction with them is recent it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes for them to think “Again?” and double down on your ban.

          Definitely not the way to make peace.

      Reading about the relationship between you and the owner of the game, I really wonder why you want to register (again). Doesn’t seem to serve any useful purpose.

        Not useful

        In reply to Re: register

        Thats true whay you say. Ofc because he banned me without reason and I saw people were really happy about it, like so much hate and all just because I was better than them…I tried to create a lot of new teams. Apparently they have some problems with that, and I wanted to take revenge. But na, he blocked me after I did 40 or so. But yes, although Im angry and hurt, it doesnt serve to any purpose.

        I wondered for my knowledge at least to know how he traced my device because I use a VPN…I not always did ofc…Just since 2 weeks

      Since a VPN will assign you a new IP address and run your data through different servers, that makes tracking you very, very difficult. Even if someone was somehow able to get to your IP address, it wouldn’t actually be yours, but one that’s hidden behind the VPN’s server.

      another reason

      by davibrons ·

      In reply to Can I be tracked with VPN

      You can’t determine a person’s location by their IP address. The fact is that the IP address under which the Internet knows you is, in fact, the address of your provider’s DNS server, which quietly rustles in his data center. There is should be another reason

        Nothing works

        In reply to another reason

        I got deeper and he recwives my IP adress and the info available through the browser. I tried a lot of stuff, but Im still blocked somehow. So no hope for me. I still wonder how they know its me. I tried tor, i tried to install clowd browser, nothing works

          Still trying

          In reply to Nothing works

          But you still want to register there?
          Have you tried to change your IP? You have dynamic or static IP address?

          by davidtheonlygod ·

          In reply to Still trying

          I sometimes can register. But they always ban me. Cause they know its me.
          The ip adress i checked now is static, but even if I mask it through VPN they know its me. On the privacy policy it states they have access to my VPN and hardware info available through the browser. So it is i guess that they see my device. And i dont know how to avoid this.
          Also the most of the times when i try to register, i get the blocking, after some seconds or so. So the app crashes and the block comes in. I installed ghostery and no script and they show me a tracker and its the tracker of the game i guess and i cant block it.

          I really wondered this months how to mask all my data so they dont see my IP or my device, they should see something else. But they always see its me and im banned and blocked

          Network Address Translation

          by davibrons ·

          In reply to How to?

          NAT (Network Address Translation) is a process that involves mapping an IP address to another address by changing network address information. You need to change them in network packets as they pass through the traffic routing device.
          To check if a computer is behind NAT or is broadcasting a real address to the Internet, you can do the following:
          in Windows, you need to click “Start – Run – cmd” and write “ipconfig” and press “Enter”;
          The output of the command shows the following data:

          IP – real, valid address of the computer;
          Subnet mask — subnet mask;
          Gateway – Router’s gateway address.

          The most common way to change the NAT type without additional hassle. You just need to check your router model and the ports of the game you want to play.
          You need to go to your router home page and find the port forwarding option from the list.
          Enter the game ports in the first section and enter your IP address in the next column.
          You will be prompted to select the device you want to point to. After that, select the UDP and TCP option.
          After that, you can save your settings and reload them for immediate results.

      NO

      by old molases ·

      In reply to Can I be tracked with VPN

      No, your web traffic and IP address can’t be tracked anymore. However, if you use a poor quality VPN, you could still be tracked. A premium quality VPN encrypts data and hides your IP address by routing your activity through a VPN server; even if someone tries to track you, all they’ll see is the VPN server’s IP address and complete gibberish.

      Can I tracked with VPN

      by wilsonhenry13463 ·

      In reply to Can I be tracked with VPN

      No one can’t be tracked through VPN as because one’s IP address is modified and his/her online activity is encrypted. Some internet service providers (ISPs) or websites may know that you are employing a VPN, but won’t be able to see your online activities. So, you ought to use a VPN to reduce your chances of being tracked online.
