Can I bypass my exchange servers security protocols stopping auto-forward r

By xcollin_farrellx ·
I am trying to auto-forward email in outlook from a work email to a personal email, but my exchange server security policies prevent it. I've bypassed many a security profile with macros or editing the registry, but I can't find any tricks for this one. Anyone out there know any tricks to get past this? Thanks in advance!

Adjust policy on server?

by seanferd In reply to Can I bypass my exchange ...

If you can't adjust the policy to allow this, you probably shouldn't be doing it?

No offense...

There are many a thing I SHOULDN'T be doing, but the things I bypass are what make me so darn productive. Anyone with a helpful answer??

But we don't know who you are, and if you had the authority or could ask the IT folks in charge of the server to do it, you would have, right?

Subverting corporate policy is not productive, especially since they seem to have an eye for security.

If it is that big of a productivity issue, bring it up with management. I'm positive they'd like to see any productivity increase that is possible.

I highly doubt....

... that you will find any help to bypass your company's security protocols from the members of this forum.

Personally, I think you need to be fired immediately for what you've already admitted to, let alone what you are attempting to do. Given the current economic conditions, there are probably hundreds, if not thousands of people waiting in line to take your job when you DO get fired and blackballed from the industry for what amounts to corporate espionage.

Hopefully, your 'talents' will be discovered soon.

A workaround using Gmail without compromising security protocols

by lallhands In reply to Can I bypass my exchange ...

There is a simple solution that will enable you to forward your Outlook email to your personal email.

Configure an IMAP capable public account like gmail and add it to your Outlook.

Create a rule to copy emails from the inbox of your Exchange account to the inbox of your gmail account.

Create another rule to copy emails from the sent box of the gmail account to the sent box of your Outlook account.

In your gmail account settings, make your Outlook account the default "Send Mail As" setting.

Now you can use your gmail account to send and receive emails from Outlook and you have not circumvented any security protocols.

Why wake up a dead thread?

Why be assholes?

by mbgaskins In reply to Zombie Alert!!

I AM incharge of my company and IT will do what I tell them. THEY don't know how get around the exchange servers BUILT-IN security settings to get this done.

How can I get this done since I have the authority to order it done but not the capability or knowledge to do so?

Thanks for your help.
