By bantosebastian ·
Hi, I have a CPU with DVD-D port and LCD TV with (VGA, HDMI in, HDMI/DVI in) ports. Now i want to connect both. I would like to konw what is the best way to connect both and what cable to be used. Appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks,

DVI-D is Digital Only.
DVI-I is Digital and Analogue integrated on one cable (you can see it as the 4 extra pins around the horizontal blade).

Or an adapter

They also make DVI to HDMI adapters which can fit on the end of your preexisting DVI or HDMI cables, if you have one thats long enough.

HDMI and DVI have compatible signals, so the only thing you need to do is swap the heads on the ends of a cable, or get a cable with the heads you need.

Yeah
