We’ve run into a problem with issuing/processing certificates. Initially, we thought our problem was with XENROLL.dll, but we’ve since determined that the dll isn’t the problem–the same version dll functions differently on different computers.
The problem seems to be related to IE6 Service Pack 1. Microsoft doesn’t indicate there was anything in SP1 that would affect certificate processing, however, the certificate appears to install correctly, but when the user attempts to connect to ourserver, the certificate that has just been installed disappears. When the service pack is removed, the certificate reappears–without being reissued.
We think we need to identify an IE6/SP1 installation, and force an installation of IE6 without SP1.
Points will be awarded to first one with instructions on how to automatically force installation of IE6 without SP1, or another workable solution.
