I migrated a Windows NT4 domain to Windows 2003 AD some time ago. I now have to migrate another NT4 domain (small production plant) into the same Windows 2003 AD domain. The plant is a remote site, I still have the ADMT v3 tool installed on the Primary AD domain DC (company HQ), can I install the ADMT v3 tool on a local AD DC (in the plant) in order to migrate the NT4 domain users, groups, computers? I would think this would improve LAN traffic if it is done local and not from the compahy HQ location. Or shoud I uninstall ADMT v3 from the HQ Primary AD DC and then install it int the plant location? What is best practice? Help… Thanks
