That depends on what you have for internet access....

by ThumbsUp2 In reply to can internet be change d ...

If you're paying a local company (ISP) for internet access, you'll have to check with them to see if they provide access in the town you're moving to. If not, you'll have to find another internet service provider (ISP).

If you're using something like AOL dialup for internet access, you'll have to check with them to see if they have local numbers to dial in the city you're moving to.

So, the only thing we can tell you is to check with your internet service provider.

It's what She said not he.

But none the less Thumby is completely correct the Internet is not delivered to your computer it is available to your Internet Service Provider who then on sell access to you over their Local Infrastructure.

The only possible way that a customer could retain the same ISP and so on in an International move is to have a Satellite Service and move to a area in a country that is covered by the Satellite/s that their ISP uses. That way they could log into their ISP and use their service thought they are very unlikely to find any ISP with a Service Agreement to different countries. There just is not a market for this type of thing. They could use Dial up to get into their original ISP but this would involve International Phone Calls which would be very expensive and even then the ISP would suspend the Account when their Bills got returned to sender.

Depends where you're moving FROM ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to can internet be change d ...

So, in the essence of the question "can internet be change d if you move to another country?" if you were to move to Mexico from China, you'd see a remarkable difference in the 'internet' since you would no longer be hampered by the internal political restrictions placed on your ability to seek information.

Just thought I'd mention that.
