I just installed a new file server. It works perfectly as long as I am accessing it from my domain. It is configured for anonymous access, and works fine, that is until I try to switch it to my public IP address and use it from the web. When I key the URL into IE the authentication box comes up, but for some reason will not authenticate for anonymous, or authenticated access. I’ve checked permissions, I’ve tired administrator accounts, nothing will get it to give me access. IE is set for passive ftp, all my firewalls are set to allow port 21 (I can access the site from any subnet within the domain with no problem). I even tried Filezilla in the hopes it was a IE issue. Pulling my hair out here, can somebody affer some assistance.
