Also i get this in the event log on boot

by JBurlison In reply to Cannot ping server HELP!

ISA Server Control service failed to start because the operating system service Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is already running. To fix this problem use ISA Server setup to reinstall ISA Server.

Questions about your ping

by RationalGuy In reply to Cannot ping server HELP!

Are you pinging by fully-qualified domain
name, by short name (host name) or by IP

If you're pinging by name, is the server name
resolving to an IP address?

What is the exact output of the ping?

What's the subnet mask on the client

Is your DNS domain in the DNS suffix list of
the client computers?

Does post 1 apply? Follow the recommendation.

Answer the questions in post 2. Also, what is the server OS & version, and how is the network set up? No one can answer your question without any info.
