Cannot start outlook

By bratlou ·
Im trying to run Microsoft Outlook 2007 from an Windows xp PC. The PC is on a Windows 2003 Server network. The server runs MS Exchange 2007. Outlook fails with an error:

"Cannot start Ms Office Outlook. Cannot Open Outlook window".

I have tried what others are running which is "outlook.exe /resetnavpane", it does not work.

Any idea how I can get around this?

Hi what you need to do is backup your outlook profile then you go to control panel > mail > profiles > delete the current profile but take note what it was called (default is outlook) then create a new profile called outlook1.close all windows now go to start > run and type in outlook.exe /resetnavpane.go to your backed up profile and rename it from outlook to outlook1 and replace the newly created outlook1 profile with the one you just renamed(the backed up one).Open outlook and go to data file management and make sure that the path points to your newly renamed backup outlook1.pst.

Hope this helps!!
