    Can’t use desktop themes on certain netw

    Certain machines on the network have WIndows themes installed. The problem being some machine’s lose the theme, This happens everytime certain machines are restarted. We run on Novell and are on Client 3.2.0.0

    Please Help!

      Are you the Network Administrator? I’m asking because this sounds like policy restrictions on the users or workstations. Check with the system administrator or IS manager to find out.

      policy restrictions is one possability, the other is that the ‘user’ is set up to get ‘prefrences’ from the server (so that they get ‘their desktop’ where ever they log in. and local changes are not getting saved

      I’m pretty sure policies are the answer here too, however, I think all you need to do is run poledit and enable user profiles. It could be possable that the person’s profile is somehow using hte default user instead of their own profile, so something like recreating their individual user.dat may be something to do.
