My cd writer (plextor 8/4/32A) won't recognize my blank CDRW disk which is 4x-10x compatible. Is it because my cdwriter is 8/4/32A ONLY? HELP PLS. thanks

No, it should recognize the disk. The software is more likely the suspect here. Have you tried to format the cd-rw? What software do you use to burn CD? Does it support packet writing? If you don't have all the applications installed you will not be able to use re writables, with roxio, you need to have easy cd and direct cd both.
Is the blank disk a 700MB/80 Minute disk? Some drives and software only recognize the 650MB / 74 Min disks.
You may need both a software and firmware update. Software, your CD writing software (Adaptec / Roxio, or Nero) Firmware, this is software that operates the drive. A firmware update would have to come from Plextor.
If you are running Windows XP, you need to start by installing some of the critical updates for XP, then install patches for the CD software.
Here's what Plextor has to say it's taken from the support section under freq asked questions hardware section;
When I try to format or record data to my CD-RW discs, I get the message: "The requested file could not be written to the CD in Drive F: (or whatever letter the RW drive is listed at). It is recommended to copy any critical files on this CD to a new CD."
This error can occur if you are using CD-RW media that is not compatible with your drive. The PX-W1610A and earlier supported CD-RW discs speeds of 2-4X (normal speed), and 4-10X for drives which carry the "High Speed CD-RW" logo. The Plextor PX-W2410TA, and later, support 4-10X High-Speed media.
Some normal speed media that is claimed to be 4X is, in fact, 2X media. This media will return the above error in Plextor PX-2410TA and later drives. Vendor information, including minimum and maximum recording speeds, can be located by reading the ATIP (Absolute Time in Pre-Groove) information, present on every CD-R or CD-RW disc. This information can be read by examining the properties of the drive using Plextor Manager 2000 or SimpliCD, or by using a utility such as Nero Info Tool or CDR Identifier, both available on the web.
As The Chas noted get the firmware & PlexManager updates while your there, They explain how to determine your versions for both at their site.
My cd writer drive will not recognise CD-RW's because it does not support for CD-RW cd's. Maybe your CD writer drive is the same. Check the manufactures webpage to see if it is supported by the drive or not.
