I’m running Windows Server 2003 which I got from Dreamspark (Channel8 on MSDN).
And I installed it on my home laptop.
Now, I have a problem.
My software (Data Backup) won’t install on Server 2003. And I really, really need that backup.
Is there a chance to change reported OS version, so that the software I’m installing is tricked to think that installed windows is XP or vista? I’ll need to change it back once I restore the data.
Please, I really need help.
