Changing licensing servers for Terminal Server Licensing

By ctdak ·
I recently added a new domain controller to my small network, then made this new DC the licensing server in AD Sites and Services. The old DC was also the TS licensing sever but I deactivatied it as such and then activated the new DC for this purpose. The old DC is now shut off, and now whenever I go into Terminal Server Licensing it is looking for the old DC still and takes forever to come up with the normal snap-in window. How can I prevent TS Licensing from looking for the old DC?

The resolve is in Sites and Services

Click on the site which contains the licensing server. If you have installed a TS licensing server then you should see an entry for it. (TS Licensing is seperate to Domain Licensing). You can edit the computer name which the domain should look to. I had the same issue as you after I lost a server and had to rebuild the licensing server.
