Cisco Ping problems…

by ccthompson . Updated 20 years, 3 months ago

I have 3 Vlans in my Cisco equipment, all defined in my router.

10.1.1.x (admin) (Network Equip.)
10.1.10.x (data) (PCs)
10.1.11.x (voice) (IP phones)

I have a switch here, 10.1.1.2(Cat 3650), and a switch in the other warehouse 10.1.1.3(Cat 2950).

From my PC, 10.1.10.100, i can ping the switch here(10.1.1.2) but cannot ping the other warehouse (10.1.1.3).

I can however ping other PCs connected to that switch in the other warehouse.(10.1.10.133,ect…)

The warehouses are connected to each other via Cisco Wireless Bridges ((10.1.10.5, here) (10.1.10.6) other warehouse)), but i dont think thats the problem. Cause when I go to the switch itself, and connect via COM1(hyperterminal) i cannot even ping its own address, or anything else. i have tried to change the IP address to every single vlan, but still doesnt seem to work.

Its very odd that I can ping devices that are connected to that switch, such as PCs, access points over there, and the actual IP phones. But cannot ping the switch itself.

Any suggestions?
