It appears my outside interface (port 0) is dead on my Cisco Pix 501. I’ve tried both crossover and normal cables on that port, and neither triggered the status light. When those cables are then placed on an inside interface, the status light immediately blinks. Other attempts to fix this issue, such as rebooting the pix, reloading the firmware have not resolved the issue.
Is there any way to switch an inside interface to an outside interface? Or is there any other troubleshooting techniques I should try?
