Cisco switch dust problems

by zososwim . Updated 18 years ago

We have extensive construction happening at out school right now and one of my switch rooms is currently under assault from the sheer amount of dust construction makes. I keep my switch rooms as clean as possible but the dust from this is getting worse and worse. I’m actually a little worried that damage could be done to the switches I have in there. (This room is the core of our network..)

Are there any steps I can take to cleaning out these devices? I assume that opening them all up is really my only option. Are there companies that specialize in cleaning switch racks?

Any ideas will be most helpful.
