Citrix

By dnuijs ·
The company i'm working in has a Nt 4 domain with a citrix farm. Citrix Metaframe XPa is installed on two windows 2000 servers. The company wants to upgrade its domain to a win2k domain. I know that te terminal license server has to be installed on the domain controller in a w2k domain. Now it's on one of the citrix servers. Does moving the license server to the domain controller affect my Citrix farm. I don't know much about citrix and i'm hoping i don't have to install the whole citrix again. Thank you for your comments

I don't believe that terminal server license needs to be moved. I am in your exact position. I have 2 NT servers and 1 Citrix Metaframe server running under W2K. My terminal server licenses and my Citrix licenses both reside on the W2K server. My NTservers are the PDC and BDC. I'm going to upgrade both of them to W2K in the next month or so, but I see no reason to move my terminal license server will still be the Citrix server.

Think about it: users are going to log into the Citrix server. They can use the ICA client, or the terminal server client, doesn't matter which. But to log in, the license server HAS to be on the Citrix box they log into.

Check again, because I think you're ok on this.
