Clustering Computers?

By Tyharo ·
Since I am always looking for new things to with computers, I have run across something called clustering. It can apparently turn several computers connected to a network into one "super" computer. I'm wondering if anyone could maybe explain how clustering works and if it could possible increase performance on one computer?

Here's one of the articles I found:

http://www.mcsr.olemiss.edu/bookshelf/articles/how_to_build_a_cluster.html

I don't know anyone who has built a cluster. I would suggest posting in other forums as well. Google cluster how to etc. As you learn more terms from your searches, google them as well.
