clustering terminal servers

By MikeLazz ·
We are looking into clustering 2 terminal servers, both running server 2003 R2. It seems like a good idea in theory, but is it in reality. Has anyone tried this approach and how has it worked out? Any adivice is greatly appreaciated.

What are you looking to do? Are you talking about a true cluster or about load balancing?

terminal services does not support true failover, but load balancing is an option.

found something

originally i wanted a true failover. then once i started reading more about his i realized that a true failover would not be possible. What i am looking for is to have the load balancing as well as some sort of fault tolerance. in my resaerch i found a 3rd party software called 2X LoadBalancer for Terminal Services / Citrix. it appears to do what i am looking for with server 2k3 standard as opposed to having to upgrade to the advanced or database versions.
