We are in the process of exploring possibilities for adopting CMMI. Any responses to the following questions would be very helpful.
1. We are an organization of less than 100 consultants providing software services. Given our size, would it be better to adopt SW-CMM instead of CMMI?
2. What would be the number of full-time and part-time resources needed for this effort?
3. What are the qualifications that these resources must possess to lead and facilitate this effort?
4. What are the approximate costs involved in such an exercise? I know that this will vary from organization to organization. We are looking for an approximate estimation, which would give us an idea of the costs involved. Even a minimum to maximum range would help.
5. What would be a practical timeframe to reach maturity level 2?
