A once active Comport 2 is now not working properly on IBM Thinkpad 770x laptop, OS Win 2K. Although it is detected in the Device Manager it is reading as not working properly. The reousrces listed after clicking on the CHANGE MANBUALLY button in the properties dialogue box of the comport 2 driver, are as follows:
INPUT/OUTPUT RANGE 03E8-O3EF REading OK
INTERRUPT REQUEST 04 NOT OK.
on selecting the interrupt request the following text appears:
INTERRUPT 04 USED BY INFRARED
How may I rectify this and get back all my ports working/How can I further pinpoint the problem?
