i have an internet connection(at home) through dial-up line from BSNL(via phone line).
In my workplace, i have a machine in which i have been working during my worktime.
Any IP address is not assigned to my machine which is resided at my home.
I want to communicate between those two machines.
Actually,i want to transfer files via ftp or telnet.
Please, give me suggestion in this matter as soon as possible.

The best way you could acomplish this is to send the files via email, or burn them to a cd if you have acces to a cd-writer.

I'm almost sure you have disabled telnet acces at your work place. Probably ftp too.

You do have an ip addres on you home computer. Go to Start -->Run ant type: ipconfig/all . you should see you ip there.
NOTICE: you will probably have a different ip each time you conect to the internet.

If you can/want to use ftp transfer, download serv-u ftp server . It's a small, powerfull and easy to configure ftp server.

Also, an external USB hard drive could make your day...
