I was using my compaq presario 700 Laptop series 720 US model with originally installed software from compaq its battery used to last for 2 hrs without any problem then after the system crashed and I installed Win XP professional because I no longer have restore Cds for the laptop and now the battery doesn’t last for more than 30 minutes I tried to get firmware updates for the battery from the compaq website but the problem persist so what might be the problem and can I solve the problem.
please help
