compare lock setting in sql srv 2000 and 2005

By DetroitPistons ·
Hi All,
I am new with SQL server, current my company is running SQL Server 2000 and will move the database to SQL 2005. Once I move the database over to SQL Server 2005, is there a way for me to compare the setting of the locking mechanism, such as optimistic and pessimistic, I want to make sure they will be identical. Or is it all in the coding in the app itself. I've been reading what I can find but haven't came accross any visual settings yet.

Thanks all for any help/direction in advance.

Trans Isolation levels on the connections, and specific 'overrides' within queries such as
With READ_UNCOMMITTED

Aside from soem deprecated syntax, I don't reemeber any specific problems when doing this.

Except, like many after upgrading the database, I forgot to set the compatibility mode to 90.
SQL 2005 syntax (especially is system stored procedures) can give you some serious funnies if you forget.
