I have a computer that is running windows 98 SE. I installed this OS after having formatted the HD and generally prepared it for WIN98 installation. The problem is, when I go to shut it down, it shuts down normally, but right after it powers off, it immediately powers back on and starts up again. The only way I have been able to get the computer to remain off, is to remove the power cord after it “shuts down.”
