I am running Winme, 500mhz cpu,128mb’s RAM and a 10gb hd.
I also have a cdrw (secondary slave)cdrom (primary slave)
My hd light will flicker (but doesn’t seem to be accessing anything)leaving me helpless. I can barely move a mouse. I have disabled my entire start up menu, defragged and thorough scan disk. I have also run housecall, macaffee’s and nortons and all say i have no virus. (this was my first thought) I have run also BCM Diagnostics and it says RAM, and cpu are fine. I ran Quantum’s hd diagnostics and it says my hd is fine as well.
When i ran the defrag on norton’s utilities i noticed an “unmoveable block” on the hd at the start….is that normal?
Also…i am getting a message that the ACPI IRQ holder for PCI IRQ Steering is disabled. I have checked this thru ctl panel and it is not disabled.
Also in running Winsafe 98 i am getting an error found message….Dynamic Load Failed [000FC088] file not found.
I feel like this pc is running on about 1/3 capacity. Ihave never had this problem before. I sure do hope i can get some advice!!!
