Configuring PcAnywhere

I am assuming you want PC Anywhere to be set to "wating for connection" each time a user restarts the PC or has to do a shutdown and then turn the PC on. This keeps from manually having to start the PC Anywhere session. In order to make PC Anywhere load each time the computer boots up you will have to go into MSCONFIG. Simply go to start, run, and then type MSCONFIG. Click on OK. Next click on the startup tab. There will be a bunch of check boxes. You will need to put a check by the one that reads "awhost32." Then you will need to reboot your PC. Note the little PC icon in the bottom right by your clock when Windows loads up. Good Luck!

During the installation process of PC Anywhere, you have the option to start awhost32 when Windows starts. You can always check this by clicking on the host applet in PC Anywhere and making sure that this option is enabled after the software has been installed. If you have version 8.0 it normally runs minimized on the Taskbar, Versions 9 and above will show a conputer icon down by the systray ( where the clock is )

This answer is similar to answer 2. All you have to do is open PCAnywhere and choose Be A Host. Then right click on the connection you want to start on bootup (Network, Modem, etc)and left click on Properties. On the Settings tab check the Launch with Windows box and check the Run minimized box.
