connect Cisco WIC-2T 2-Port Serial WAN Interface Card to cable modem

By lallen0224 ·
I have a 2600 series router with 1 fa0/0 and WIC-2T 2-Port Serial WAN Interface Card.
Is there a connector that allows connecting the Cisco WIC-2T 2-Port Serial WAN Interface Card to my comcast cable modem since I don't have another fastethernet port?

how about AUX port or ETH sub-interface !

We can not do it with serial WAN interface.

I am not sure how to do it with cable modem but I have done with two cisco routers connecting back to back with AUX ports using null/rollover cable. Later I configured routing between ETH and AUX port on router. It is slow but good for LAB setup.

(information available at http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/paws/10365/auxback.pdf).

I have never done it but try configuring a sub-interface on ETH with totally separate subnet for your Ethernet and ISP. Please correct me if it doesn't make sense.

WAN ports on Cisco equipment are serial ports, not ethernet ports. you would have to convert serial to ethernet.
