Connect PC's with USB cross cable

By richardvonw ·
I share large files with multiple computers and also am moving from one PC to another. I know some applications work with a USB cross cable connection. Is there a simple way to use this to move files between Windows XP computers (which may be on different networks)?

USB-USB cable

by Toivo Talikka In reply to Connect PC's with USB cro ...

It is interesting to find out that there are USB-USB cables with a bridge chip in the middle . A detailed article at http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/248/1 explains how to install the special cable and set up a connection between two PCs.

If it is too complicated, get a large enough USB memory stick and use it to transfer the files, if they are up to 2GB. Beyond that, an iPOD or a portable USB hard drive can be used.

USB Cables A Waste Of Time

Don't bother with them USB cables, to make life simple for you i would use a external hardrive or a flash pen drive for smaller files.

You can use the above application to transfer over any data to any pc providing they are both on the internet.
