Connect VPN (Contivity) But Can not access corporate server

Dear All,

I have Contivity VPN Client for our Lotus server & intranet . but i am able to connect VPN it is fine. but once VPN connected I can not assecc our lotus server & intranet site.

I am also able to ping & tracert Our server & intranet site. it is also fine.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

you say that once your VPN is connected then u not able to reach your server.

can it be the IP address?

what IP address you using?
IS it issue by a DHCP or its is a pre-define?

I am not familiar with the specific VPN/Client software you are using but there should be a few settings that should allow what you are trying to do. Firstly, make sure that your VPN settings use an internal DNS server once the tunnel is active (virtual IP settings). Secondly, there should be an option to enable NetBios over HTTP on your VPN. Those 2 things should allow you to browse the local network properly.

Another issue to look at

is how the VPN is being authenticated. You may need to set up a radius server to provide network credentials when you connect through the VPN. You SHOULD just be able to connect and be asked to enter the credentials...
Also, make sure the corporate network is on a different subnet then your home network. This can lead to a connection, and it does not know where to send packets, fragmentation, and general chaos.
