Connecting to SQL Server after IP change

By Vinay_Prabhu ·
We recently changed the IP Address of our SQL Server from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.156.x. The server is running as usual without any issues. But, the clients are unable to connect to the Server using TCP/IP. Nevertheless, they are able to connect to the server using Named Pipe.

Is Disable Netbios over TCP?IP installed on the NIC?
Do you have two Nics or only one?

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the response.

We have only one NIC in the Server.

Anyways, the issue got resolved. The issue was not with SQL Server but with the UNIX box that was trying to connect to the SQL Server. The Unix Box was not saving the New Network Settings. And hence, was unable to connect to the Server. It works now.
