What is needed to switch from a static IP domain to a DHCP domain? Currently running NT with over 2000 users across a few VLANS. CISCO routers and switches are the core systems. With NT4 as the OS.

You may need many DHCP servers ! To serve 2000 users, to prevent DHCP servers out of order.
You routers need also to be RFC2131 compliants, to answer cross network DHCP discover/offer.
Are you REALLY sure you need DHCP ?
