Convert to NTFS

By Super_IT_Mom ·
I am running W2K Pro on my clients. I have discovered that one of the PC's has a FAT32 file system. What is the easiest/best way to convert this to NTFS? Thank you!

Very easy !!!
First, get the thecommand prompt (Start Menu > Run > cmd).
Then type :
convert [volume_name] /fs:ntfs .

You will need to reboot the PC. After booting change the security settings of the volume. By default, system gives full permission to Everyone. To remind you, this convert is one way ticket and you can't convert back to FAT32.

Good Luck !
