Two month old Soltek 75KAV m/b with 1.2 Duron. Original P/S 300watt 3yrs failed. Replaced it with a 400watt power supply and it lasted all of 20 seconds. Plugged in a 230watt P/S and unplugged everthing except ram and cpu and the fan started up for about six seconds and stoped. That P/S worked fine back in its original box. I suspect motherboard. What i want to know is how and why. eg was the new 400watt faulty or how did the m/b blow it.
