Lately my HD has been getting bad sectors on it. So I ran the Microsoft backup utility and decided instead of spending 5 hours transfering the backup file through our old network (ARCNET) I’d just put the hard drive into another computer and transfer the files to another HD that way.
I got everything swapped no prob and it booted up and found the HD in boot screen no prob. Problem came when I got into Windows to start transfering. My drive now shows as “dL_c)o_\” along with a few other various symbols. So my whole drive is now in greek, goobley gook whatever you want to call it.
The only thing I can think of at this point was that I forgot to swap the jumper from master to slave whne I swapped it to the other computer.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreaciated.
Thanks for your time,
