I think I have a CPU problem here.
(Motherboard Type: ASUS A7V REV 1.02)
I have a 700MHz AMD-K microprocessor, and just recently it’s been hanging and I can’t get in. As soon as it starts up it goes directly to the BIOS, and I have this msg (allin red):
“During the last boot-up, your system hung for an improper CPU external speed setting. Your system is now working in safe mode (BUS: 100MHz, DRAM: 100MHZ, PCI: 33MHz). To optimize the system performance and reliability, make sure the CPUspeed conforms to the specifications of the CPU.”
I tried changing the switches on the board as well as the CPU frequency in the BIOS, but I still can’t get anywhere. It’s still hanging on me.
Can anyone help.
