IF: i got 206 memory errors. and i've browse around to see if i can find couple of patches for it but i think i'm out of luck! i'm not sure if i deleted a file that i'm not supposed to but then i'm pretty sure that i have few good memory sticks. every reboot leads to this "206 memory errors". and so i went into system and see what happens if i reconfigure my system and bios. it was a very bad idea, reconfiguring bios shuts down the pc. though not completely shut down because the hard drive seems to run and pcs is still alive. though, i'm left with no options and good as dead. i'm left with nothing, monitors, keyboard, or dos is not even running. so, is there a way to get around with this conflict? is there a way to reset or jump the pcs back running again or i'm a as good as dead?

Start by resetting the CMOS memory.
Their should be a jumper on the motherboard to clear the CMOS memory. Set the jumper to clear, power up and then power down the PC. Set the jumper back to normal.

If you cannot find the jumper, or the above doesnot work, remove the CMOS back-up battery (this is a good time to check if the battery is getting weak) and disconnect power for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Re-install the battery, and power up the PC.

Next, does the memory error come up during the POST test?
Or, when Windows is loading?

If during the POST, you either have a bad module, or the motherboard is failing.

Start by removing and re-seating all of the memory modules in their sockets.

If you still have the errors, remove thememory modules individually (pairs for SIMMs) and test the system again.

If none of the memory modules are bad, then remove all plug-in cards except the video card.

If you still have the problem, then your choices are CPU, motherboard, or video card.

Some BIOS can be reset by holding the END key when turning on the computer.
