I am the PC/LAN specialist for a national company using a third-party billing system called ACSR by CSGSystems. CSG uses a TCP/IP protocol called Chameleon (NetManage), running on NT 4.0 Workstation predominately on Compaq systems (a few Dell). We are running McAfee VirusScan 4.03 on all systems and using basic office applications plus other system specific applications.

CSG locks up or kicks the user out, sometimes freezing the system, requiring a reboot. There does not seem to be a common basis. We have 3 lines of business, running different versions of CSG from separate Unix servers, at multiple locations. I have tried removing McAfee entirely with limited success. I have also cleaned up systems and maxed out the virtual memory settings with intermittent success. We have installed upgrades and additions to the mix lately, but I have not found a correlation with anyof them.
