Create Emergency Recovery

By pottenhausen ·
I have a small LAN with 15 total computers using Windows XP Professional, what is the most efficient means to create an Emergency Recovery system for all of them (note: I do not have the original installation disk for some of them)?

Create an image

Since you only have 15 of them it wouldn't be unreasonable to create an image of each PC. I personally prefer Ghost but pick your poison.

That's what I would do.

It may be easier maybe

If you have several of the same Make & Model systems as you would only need one Image for all that are identical.

There are several applications that will do the job here Ghost and Acronis Backup & Recovery being the most popular

The Acronis Product Details are located here

http://www.acronis.com.au/backup-recovery/

The Symantec Ghost Details are located here

http://www.symantec.com/business/ghost-solution-suite

Both have Trial Versions available so you can try before you buy if you like though my personal preference used to be Ghost till a few years ago and I now prefer Acronis but that is very much a Personal Opinion.
