Creating DHCP Superscope, but New-2nd-Scope unable to connect.

by nusyaputera . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

Reserved IP address on first scope of DHCP Server was depleted, So we tried to create a superscope (with a new scope).

Configuration as follow:

Superscope-Authorized
– First Scope (currently used)-Activated
IP: 192.168.2.0-255
Subnet: 255 255 255 0

– Second Scope (new-unused yet)-Activated
IP: 192.168.1.0-255
Subnet: 255 255 255 0

After We make all scope option on 2nd-scope exactly the same with the 1st-scope, we try to reserved one IP Client. And PC client succesfully reserved (from ipconfig summary reserved IP/Subnet/Gateway/DNS client-pc is at the correct value).

But when we try PINGING from 2nd-scope to 1st-scope, it always “..could not find host..”.

Is anybody can help find the answer?
Thank you.
