I am trying to use the Create PDF –> From Multiple Files.. feature in Acrobat 7.0.8.
When I select files on a mapped drive, I get an error stating “Unable to open the document:” {Malformed path} “Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file.”
The {malformed Path} is the path to the document except that what is displayed is “F:\4\” in place of the drive letter. For example if the document is “K:\thisfile.pdf” the error will display “F:\4\thisfile.pdf”.
The weird part is that I can create a PDF of the files individually and then combine them. (the current workaround) However, my users do not like the additional steps.
This is on Windows XP and a Server 2003 network. I am running Acrobat as a domain administrator with full permissions to the files and the computer.
I have searched Google and a few tech forums. I have yet to find this error or a solution
