Creating Proper Batch file

By duncanlarry ·
I am trying to create a batch file to move a file from one server to another server. I have been succesfull in moving the file locally, but I am having problems moving it to a server in our domain.

Also are certain security settings that need to placed on the folder to make sure the batch file can place the file in the appropiate folder on the server.

Also, are there any tools that can help me write more complex batch files.

Lots of Google pages, though.

To copy a file between servers you just need to make sure that the user running the batch file has rights to both servers.

What catches out so many people is when they install the batch file as a scheduled task and don't realise that all drive mappings are lost and that file copy needs to use URLs or to contain drive mapping commands to copy between servers.
