I read the article on the “Ideal Student” and the comments following the article. It started me thinking – how can I as a trainer create a learning environment in application training classes that fosters and encourages participants to develope the attributes of the “ideal student” i.e. curiousity, lack of fear, a willingness to experiment, and enthusiasm, and to actively use those traits during and after the session?
I have a few things I’ve tried in class in the past with varying degress of success. I’d like to hear what other trainers do and how well it works!
