ok i live in a duplex and and sharing a wireless connection with my neighbors.. i have a laptop w/ wireless integrated and get net fine… but wen i connect my pc to my laptop via crossover cable… i lose connection to the wireless. The weird thing is that while the WIRED lan is enable both computers see each other but i have no internet connection… but if i simply disable the connection my wireless internet comes back.. wut am i doin wrong do i have to have sumthing else enabled?
ps. my laptop says its connected to wireless but rly isnt (no net).
im using a basic set up
Computer 1 (laptop)
ip-192.168.0.1
sub-255.255.255.0
gateway-192.168.0.1
computer 2 (desktop)
ip-192.168.0.2
sub-255.255.255.0
gateway-192.168.0.1
Ive done it before but ive jsut reformatted.
