hello, guys. hope u can help me. is it ok to connect 2 pc's via crossover cable where 1 of them is connected to network and the other is outside the network? i just want the other pc to access the shared printer of the other one. will that setup work? thanks in advance!

How can you have a pc connect to the network and connect to another system unless it's got two nics?

Why don't you just plug into the network start > Run > \\print server\print share. that should quickly install it for you, then delete it if you don't need it anymore.

you can connect two pcs with a crossover, you have to unless you have a hub or switch available then you use a straight through.

Make sure you give each pc an ip address and subnet and Subnet
